Francis Hally joined the tax team at LJT Lawyers in 2025.
As part of his practice, Francis advises Canadian and non-resident taxpayers on Canadian tax matters. He provides tax planning services for corporations, partnerships, trusts, as well as business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
Throughout his career, he has participated in corporate reorganizations, mandates involving the structuring of investment or business holdings, as well as the sale and purchase of businesses, assets, and real estate. Francis has also been involved in estate, immigration, and emigration matters. He works closely with financial advisors and other professionals in the finance industry, particularly in planning involving life insurance. He also advises taxpayers on their cross-border operations and transactions.
Before joining the firm, he practiced as an associate at a national law firm in Canada and as a tax director in the Canadian offices of two Big Four accounting firms.
Francis holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from HEC Montréal.
