Sarah-Jade Ratelle

Sarah-Jade joined LJT Avocats in 2025 as part of the Taxation team.

Her practice is grounded in solid expertise in corporate, commercial, and tax law. At the firm, she focuses primarily on corporate reorganizations, business purchase and sale transactions, and estate planning. She supports organizations and their leaders in making strategic decisions that require a nuanced understanding of legal and tax issues.

Before joining LJT, Sarah-Jade began her career in private practice in corporate and commercial law, working mainly with small and medium-sized businesses. She assisted numerous entrepreneurs at the start-up stage, took part in negotiating and drafting shareholder agreements, and handled a significant volume of corporate reorganizations, trust implementations, and business purchase and sale transactions. This experience naturally led her to pursue a master’s degree in taxation. She later worked as a tax specialist at Deloitte, where she deepened her practice with large private corporations while developing expertise in estate planning and tax compliance for individuals, businesses, and trusts.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (2018) from Université Laval, was called to the Quebec Bar in 2019, and earned a Master of Taxation (M. Tax.) from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2022.

Alongside her practice, Sarah-Jade enjoys getting involved in her community. She has served on the board of directors of her Caisse Desjardins and was a member of the Young Governors’ Committee of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, where she helped organize philanthropic events. Outside of work, she finds balance on SÉPAQ trails, whether hiking or practicing yoga.
