Chaza Akoum

Chaza Akoum joined the team at LJT Avocats in 2026. Her practice focuses primarily on civil and commercial litigation, as well as labor and employment law. She handles cases involving contractual and non-contractual civil liability, commercial litigation, real estate law, construction law, debt collection, and professional and disciplinary law. She supports her clients at every stage of a case, from developing strategy to drafting pleadings, preparing evidence, and representing clients in court. Passionate about litigation, she particularly enjoys arguing cases and representing her clients in court.

Before joining LJT Avocats, she practiced as an attorney at a national law firm, where she developed a practice focused on civil and commercial litigation, particularly in real estate and condominium matters. While pursuing her studies, she also worked as a border services officer with the Canada Border Services Agency, an experience that helped her develop a strong sense of rigor, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal, which she earned in 2023, as well as a major in criminology from the same institution, which she earned in 2020. Chaza has been a member of the Quebec Bar since January 2025.

Committed to her community throughout her academic and professional journey, she has been honored with the Quebec Lieutenant Governor’s Medal, as well as the “Avenir” Engaged Student Award from the Forces AVENIR program.
