Specialized in disciplinary and professional law, Paul Fernet also practices in business, commercial and labor law. His professional involvement brought him, firstly, to work within the Association Québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires, during which time he took part in various negotiations with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux. Subsequently, he presided over the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec in a context of decompartmentalization of professional activities.
He has lectured in various forums such as the International Pharmaceutical Federation and other national and provincial organizations. For several years now, he has been teaching students at Québec pharmacy faculties the fundamental concepts of property rights in pharmacy. His legal advice is sought by major pharmaceutical banners, generic and innovative drug manufacturers, and pharmacists’ associations. He also handles commercial arbitration in the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to his legal training, he holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. He is a member of the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec and writes articles for L’Actualité pharmaceutique.
